Welcome to the Wickaninnish Inn Festivals and Events Calendar! On this page, you will find information on Wickaninnish Inn events, as well as the many festivals and celebrations in the Tofino/Pacific Rim area, to complement your time on the beach!
2010
Sunday Art Tour
We're pleased to offer you a guided tour of the fine art, much of it locally created, throughout the Inn. Meet us in the Beach lobby every Sunday at 10:00am for this complimentary one-hour tour, open to all.
Carving on the Edge Festival
The first Carving On the Edge Festival celebrates the Pacific Rim's lively wood carving scene. The late Henry Nolla, whose carving shed remains a hub of activity right by the Inn, was a mentor to a community of West Coast carvers (as well as a great friend to the Inn), and will be the subject of a special retrospective show in our Salal Room from September 17-22.
7th Annual Wickaninnish Inn Pro-Am Golf Tournament
Every year, we play the scenic Long Beach Golf Course, with proceeds going toward the Ucluelet Secondary School's athletics program - including golf, of course! Last year, over $15,000 was raised for our local students.
Tofino Film Festival
This grass-roots festival is in its thirteenth year of showcasing a diverse selection of films from across North America. Proceeds help upgrade Tofino's cozy Clayoquot Sound Theatre. Check back here for the lineup!
O'Neill Coldwater Classic Surfing Competition
For the second year in a row, O'Neill will be bringing this international surfing competition to the beaches of Tofino. Join the local crowd in cheering on their heroes as they battle over 100 professional surfers from around the world for top spot on their home break. Visit the O'Neill website for more info.
Clayoquot Oyster Festival
An annual tribute to our favorite bivalve! This is a week-end of entertaining talks, great BC wine, oyster farm tours, and the Mermaids Ball. The Oyster Gala is always a Tofino event to remember as local chefs compete for the tastiest creation, and local residents display their best oyster slurping skills to an appreciative audience.
