Schoolbells may be ringing, but summer is far from over in Tofino. September is here with sunny mornings, warm weather, and show-stopping sunsets on nature’s edge.
We often get asked what Tofitians (Tofino residents) enjoy doing, and there’s buzz about this September’s new Carving On the Edge Festival, celebrating the West Coast wood carver. The Inn will be hosting a special retrospective on the late Henry Nolla, friend to the Inn, mentor to many, and an all-around fascinating individual.
Then, October 9th to 15th brings the exciting return of international surf competition, the O'Neill Cold Water Classic. Over 100 professional surfers will be riding waves just off beaches in Tofino and in the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. Last year, Tofino surfer Pete Devries rose above the tide of stiff competition steps from the Inn on Chesterman Beach. Join us on the sand this October with your best "Go Pete, Go!"
