The Henry Nolla Gallery Welcomes Alicia La Rue
We are pleased to welcome artist Alicia La Rue to the Henry Nolla Gallery! Be sure to stop by the Driftwood Cafe on the beach level of our Beach Building and enjoy Alicia's lively and colourful paintings with a warm beverage in hand. Alicia's beautiful work will be on display between November 2024 and February 2025.
At a young age, Alicia knew art was her life's path. Mosaics to murals, throughout Alicia's career, she has created with enthusiasm, meaning, and passion. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Alberta University of the Arts, Alicia has been a freelance Artist for 16 years. She has applied her creativity to many different mediums, from digital design to painting large murals. From working with organizations like The Robert Bateman Foundation on numerous projects to designing sports events across Vancouver Island, Alicia has applied her creativity to an array of opportunities. Alicia's latest work consists of live paintings and sculptures that use rich colour, expression, and freedom. Residing in Ucluelet, Alicia has sold her paintings around the globe, always focused on selling only original paintings, each unique, with imagery of landscape and wildlife known to the beautiful West Coast of Vancouver Island.
