Tofino Shore Bird Festival
Each spring, tens of thousands of shorebirds migrate through Tofino, making it one of the best places in British Columbia to witness this incredible natural phenomenon. Hosted by the Raincoast Education Society, the Tofino Shorebird Festival celebrates this migration with guided birding sessions at a prime viewing location behind Hotel Zed. Birders of all levels are invited to observe flocks of shorebirds up close, learn from expert naturalists, and experience the magic of the Tofino Mudflats Wildlife Management Area.
Join Birder in Residence Liam Ragan for free, tide-dependent birding sessions each day from April 28 to May 2. Bring your binoculars and immerse yourself in this unforgettable display of nature. For more details, visit raincoasteducation.org.
