As we welcome September, we start to see the long days of summer begin to fade. There’s a nostalgia for every season as it passes, but within that comes some excitement of what to look forward to in the next season: autumn!
… Feels soon? Well, I’ll keep my excitement for the time being, but fall does bring those wonderful swells and excellent surfing conditions! It also promises to have a mellow pace after the rush of summer fun.
Despite the late start to everyone’s holidays this year due to COVID-19, Vancouver Island’s West Coast was still a popular destination. We are pleased to have been able to adapt our services to prioritize everyone’s health, safety is the new luxury—thank you to all of our guests for embracing our new safety procedures! One of those was changing our greeting location to the wonderful outdoors, and we enjoyed welcoming everyone from our ambassador tent on the driveway as they rolled in and out of Tofino, Pacific Rim National Park and Ucluelet.
And what wonderful weather we’ve had of late! We’ve been spoiled with sunshine and those brilliant west coast sunsets. I hope you took a few good pictures home with you!
In a time rife with change and unknowns in everyone’s lives, we are proud to offer some sense of returning home here at the Wickaninnish Inn. We love having you come to visit us year after year, creating new memories and sharing old stories. It has been a true joy to welcome you back, and if you haven’t been able to make it yet, we look forward to welcoming you when you can.
