This year marks our 25th Christmas, and it’s indeed become a family tradition to welcome everyone back for some cozy holiday cheer. The long, dark nights of December set the perfect scene for local events and the wonderful glow we have when we come together—the only challenge is choosing between the array of cookies, desserts and cocktails! Speaking of which, start warming up for the upcoming days by watching our Lead Bartender Tyler, at the On The Rocks Bar, prepare one of our seasonal cocktails in celebration of the holidays!

In Tofino, we celebrate outside! The Wickaninnish Inn’s Second Annual Holiday Light Tour was on December 16th, and we were thrilled to welcome our community and visitors in to share our spirit of the season and collect donations for our community food bank.

And the winner is … Charles McDiarmid! On November 18th, the announced the winners of this year’s Business Excellence Awards. Charles McDiarmid, our phenomenal and fearless leader and Managing Director of the Wickaninnish Inn, was nominated for three awards and won Business Leader of the Year! The winner of this nomination is described as an individual who has demonstrated an ongoing commitment to the business community of Tofino over a number of years. As a leader, this person has contributed to creative business practices, to the promotion of the local business economy, to community service, and their own company’s growth.” We are deeply honoured by the words and support of the community in recognizing Charles for this distinction and delighted to share company among the other nominees and winners throughout the community of Tofino.

Annual Closure (January 2022): A reminder we will be closed from January 2nd to January 27th in the new year for our yearly maintenance and holiday time. This allows us to give some of our team time off, install new features and freshen up for you.
