The work of our hands can create, transform, and enrich everything we touch, and we’re excited to invite you back after working on perfecting every small detail of the property over these last months. Our Chief Engineer, Mark Shaw, and his team have about eight hands between them, and those skilled hands have surely and meticulously renewed every inch of the Wickaninnish Inn. From the complete renovation of our Driftwood Cafe’s service area to better serve you to the artful curation of our outdoor landscape, the work of these hands has brought a shine to everything around us and a sense of renewal just in time for our spring reopening!
We are thrilled to have celebrated Gaia Grocery’s First Anniversary, and what a year to call your first! Amorita Adair, the owner of Gaia, shares that “from its inception, Gaia was meant to be a one-stop shopping experience for Tofitians and people from the surrounding communities who value specific principles when it comes to their food. Customers appreciate quality products, but most importantly understand that what they consume and purchase has to have a positive impact on the farmers who grow it, the environment and on their own bodies too.” Supporting the community of Tofino by offering an essential service with these principles in mind marked most of Gaia’s first year, and we are glad to have them as one of our trusted partners and friends.
Tofino really is a small town at the end of a long road, and if you drive down to the very end of that road (Campbell Street), you may see our friends from Al’oha Tofino serving fresh poke bowls and tostadas by the seaside. We are thrilled and excited for them and are also looking forward to trying more of the delicious cuisine they are making!
