A special mention must be made in celebration of World Bee Day this past May 20th as there are few more important drivers of sustainability than our bees and pollinators, and all of Ballyfin’s sustainability initiatives are complemented by its thriving beekeeping program.

Tended by dedicated beekeeper Bernd Schuch, these bees produce honey, honeycomb, and wax from spring until autumn, ensuring a local and sustainable source of honey for the estate. The hives, carefully monitored and managed, are a testament to Ballyfin’s dedication to preserving and promoting ecological health.
