We are incredibly proud and delighted to share that we have received the prestigious honour of two MICHELIN Keys. This new hotel rating system, introduced by the renowned MICHELIN Guide, celebrates hotels that embody outstanding hospitality, and we are thrilled to be among a group of 6 Relais & Châteaux properties in Canada to receive this inaugural distinction.

Charles McDiarmid, our Maître de Maison, expressed deep gratitude for this honour: “We are deeply honoured to be among the first recipients of the MICHELIN Keys in Canada. It’s a testament to the dedication, passion, and commitment to unforgettable guest experiences that each member of the Wickaninnish Inn team demonstrates daily.” He extended congratulations to our fellow Canadian Relais & Châteaux properties that were also awarded MICHELIN Keys in 2024, including Fogo Island Inn (three keys), Manoir Hovey (two keys), Auberge Saint-Antoine (two keys), The Wedgewood Hotel (one key), and the Post Hotel and Spa (one key).

This accolade aligns perfectly with membership in Relais & Châteaux, as both the MICHELIN Guide and Relais & Châteaux share a commitment to excellence in service, distinctive design, and a deep-rooted connection to local culture and sense of place. The MICHELIN Key distinction celebrates not only outstanding architecture and exceptional service but also the unique character and immersive experience properties like ours bring to the community. As with Relais & Châteaux, there is an exquisitely personalized guest experience woven into the local heritage and culture and remarkable culinary experiences that enhance every stay, making the destinations truly one-of-a-kind.
